Okay again:  SPOILERS.

Scroll down for GAMEPLAY DISCUSSION!

You've been warned.
Also kind of long.  You also have been warned.

So Demise was a cakewalk.

I admit that I expected the DEMON LORD to trounce me.

Twilight Princess Ganondorf 2.0.

Okay no, that's not fair.  He did put up a good fight.  He left himself open to attack way too much though and his own attacks are predictable and easily dodge-able.  Thank goodness in phase 2 he actually managed to do more than 1 heart worth of damage per blow.  Even then he became too easy to defeat once you figured out how to literally steal his thunder.  What's that?  You use lightning to strike your sword with power?  I USE THE ENTIRE SKY.  Master Sword > Ghirahim Sword.

On that note:  Round 3 with Lord Ghirahim was harder than Demise.  The first phase of Ghirahim (Knocking him off the platforms) was easy, but MAN did I start to sweat buckets when it came to his little curved sword.  He literally wiped the floor with me for the first 21 hearts.  I had a full 16 at the start.  Then he took me out and my fairy saved the day.  He knocked me down to 1 heart.  I won with 1 heart.  I went through Ghirahim's third phase (The fat sword) without taking one blow.  I couldn't afford it.  It was an action packed fight of pro I have never before been able to accomplish.  Likely never will again.  A victory that was worth savoring.  You know until Demise came in and was like, "Lol Ghirahim you're fat.  Give me back my blade."

On another note:  I'm calling it now.  Fi is going to return.  "Endless Slumber" my butt.  That's just a cover to explain the lack of Fi in previous Zelda games with the Master Sword.  She'll be back.  I also suspect that when she returns that she will be more 'human' in that she better understands emotions and how to convey them.
-Following the Fi subject.  Ghirahim and Fi are alike in that they both are the manifestation of their respective weapons.  Why is it then that Ghirahim can be badass and fight and do so much and Fi just sits back?  I wouldn't mind Fi busting out her own broadsword or something and her and I going at a horde of bad guys.  She may talk a lot but I would think she is also capable of holding her own.  She could also talk less.  A lot less.

The whole explanation of Ganondorf is ace.  I love it.

Groose for best character redemption.  The game managed to make me like Groose by the end of it.  I know they wanted you to dislike him at the start but mannn did they do well with making him a good guy.
"The Legend of Groose".  I laughed.

Getting the Hylian shield in the game (It's there!) is a pain.  The random boss battles WILL throw Imprisoned round 3 at you and if you're like me, you'll miss when you have to launch yourself at him.  And it'll be the 6th, 7th, or 8th boss fight before you get the shield.  All my rage.
I got it though.  I tried again and started with the Imprisoned round 3 for my first fight.  Won straight off.  I finished the 8th boss fight with 3 hearts.  Ohhhh man was my heart pounding.  Just mine.  Not all 3.

I KNEW THE OLD WOMAN WAS IMPA.  I saw her and was like, "That's Impa".  Then later I got to the end and saw it was Impa and I was like, "HAH".

Uhh, there's probably more I want to rant about.  That can wait a few hours though.

GAMEPLAY DISCUSSION!

I loved a ton of things this round of Zelda.  Sword combat was fun and always engaging for me.  Even if some fights (DEMISE) were more lack-luster than expected.  I always loved a straight up sword bout.  4-armed Stalfos always challenged me better than anything I've fought in Zelda thus far.  Very worthy opponents.  I hope Nintendo keeps this form of sword combat and improves on it as time goes on.  Wouldn't mind a return of Wind Waker style parrying ...
-Speaking of worthy opponents: where were the Darknuts?  I think they would have been very fun opponents.  Maybe even an iron knuckle.  Ooooh.  Moblins just did not satisfy.  Get behind them = game over for them.

Underwater portions can go die in underwater fire.  These are never fun for me, they are always ALWAYS slow, and I always get frustrated at the controls and how unresponsive Link can become.  I WANT TO GO LEFT.  STOP TRYING TO CIRCLE AROUND THE OTHER WAY.  LINK.  LIIIIINK.

Flying is fun.  At first I slightly hated it.  As the game went on it grew on me.  Wouldn't mind something later in game that sped you up a bit more than the boost rocks.  Those are cool but they're sparse.  I want jet turbines on my bird.
-On the note of flying:  Screw the flying trial to hit the targets.  Those crows (?) are trolls.  I missed so many of theirs and had to re-do that stupid trial at least 3-4 times.  It could have been worse I guess.

My beetle has a name.  He is, "Hercules, the Flying Miracle".  When I launch him I shout to the skies, "HERCULES, THE FLYING MIRACLE, HEAR MY CALL AND ASCEND TO YOUR DESTINY."
-Okay I don't actually yell that but it's something to think about.  I like the beetle.  Best new item.  UPGRADE IT AS MUCH AS YOU CAN.
--On the note of items:  I wouldn't have minded one or two new ones over old ones.  Bombs are necessary but can we get like ... Maybe a crossbow one game?  I mean after 'Link's Crossbow Training' I was hopeful.  The bow and arrow is cool and all!  Don't get me wrong.  We've just had it since day 1.  Crossbows are cooler.
---On the note of the bow and arrow:  Controlling it is great.  This is the first Zelda that I've actually wanted to shoot things with the bow and arrow the controls are just that nice.  I'm still inaccurate as all get-out though.

The tiny boat.  Oh my gosh the tiny boat.  The moment I started controlling it my mind started screaming, "WIND WAKER". and immediately afterwards I wished I was playing Wind Waker.  It was very satisfying boat controls.  Aiming the cannon was good too.  I want more boat segments like that.

that's a little odd, I managed to beat Ghirahim without all that much trouble; I did, however, struggle with Demise (with I might add, is alot like that twist in Twilight princess. the whole Zant is the main antagonist! OH WAIT! no he isn't it was Gannondorf pulling the strings all along
at least the fact that Link and Gannondorf are linked through that battle is kinda cool.)

FI was awesome! when she stopped bugging me about my controllers batteries, she was kinda like navi in the fact that she would actually tell you about your opponents, I liked that.
As for her turning into a human like form, remember what happened to Ghirahim, he basically got turned inside out by Demise... that might explain why she remains a sword.
